Geek Tip: - This is a quick tutorial to show you how easily you can share color swatch libraries between Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2.

  1. Open the Swatches palette in Photoshop.
  2. Click the menu at the top right, and choose "Save Swatches for Exchange" from the list.
  3. This allows you to save your swatches as an ase file, rather than the usual aco extension. You will want to save this file into your Illustrator CS2/Presets/Swatches folder.
  4. Next, open the Swatches palette, in Illustrator CS2. Click the menu on the top right, and choose Open Swatch Library and choose the ase file you just created. Your new swatch library will open in a separate palette!
See? Piece of cake! And it works vice versa too!
