Switch To Yahoo Small Business Email - Part 2 of 2

by Michael E. Callahan aka Dr. File Finder

Last week in part 1 I talked about the wealth of features available with Yahoo! Small Business Email. You get Norton AntiVirus to protect you from viruses and SpamGuard Plus to eliminate junk email. You also get first-rate 24-hour tech support where you can talk with real people and get real help. On top of that you also get DomainKeys, filters, auto-complete, and much more. Today I'm going to look at actually doing your email with Yahoo! Small Business Email so let's get to it. For starters, Yahoo! Small Business Email has a totally revamped interface. It looks a lot like many popular email clients do. I like the new interface because it's clean and easy-to-use, perfect for all users. I also like the fact that you can create a system of folders to meet your needs. Remember, I was handling email from four, different accounts so I wanted a number of folders for each account so I could keep things sorted. I really like the fact that you can drag and drop email from one folder to another. That really makes it easy to get things just the way you want them. Ahh, and while I'm talking about the interface I should mention that there are no ads in the Yahoo! Small Business Email interface. So, no distractions.

Handling Email

As I mentioned, I was handling the email from four accounts in my Yahoo! Small Business Email account. The management interface makes it easy to add email accounts so you can get your email from multiple places. It pulls the mail in and handles it the way you specify. For example, I had filters set up so that email from each account was directed to specific folders. In addition, you can also send email from each of your accounts, meaning you can do all your email from the Yahoo! Small Business Email interface. Really handy. At a glance you can see how many emails are in each folder. The interface also gives you a "viewer pane" at the bottom so you can see the contents of the highlighted email. At the same time, the interface is also tabbed, so you can have multiple emails open at one time and move between them. Another powerful feature of Yahoo! Small Business Email is the ability to search your messages. The search is amazingly fast and even searches through your email attachments to find what you're looking for. Slick.

Yahoo! Small Business Email gives you the power to handle your email in a clean, easy-to-use interface. To summarize, some of the features included are:

  • Ability to send email from multiple accounts
  • Ability to receive email from multiple accounts
  • Ability to search messages for content
  • Ability to open email in multiple tabs
  • Ability to manage all aspects of your email

Yahoo! Small Business Email gives you the flexibility to do all your email from one, convenient interface. You decide what you need and you can manage it all from one, central area. Nicely done.

Summing It Up!

In looking at Yahoo! Small Business Email I found that it really is the complete package. If your business is just starting out you can get just one email address. If you're a bit bigger you can start out with ten addresses and as you grow you can add more email addresses. So, it grows with you. Yahoo! Small Business Email lets you have a Web site, if you wish, and you get unlimited storage. For the tiny price of only $11.95 a month can have unlimited email and a Web site with an unlimited number of pages. You also get the domain name for free. Your Web site also comes with unlimited data transfer. So, if you're starting a new business you can get up and running for under $144 a year. The interface for building your Web pages is amazing and very easy-to-use.

Yahoo! Small Business Email gives you everything you need. Norton AntiVirus, SpamGuard Plus, filters, DomainKeys, powerful search, and more. You can send and receive email from other accounts you may have so you can do all your email from one place. You get a dashboard that let's you control your email and your Web pages. The email interface is clean, easy-to-use, and intuitive. The online help system is really complete and full-featured. And just when you think you can't get any more for your money you also get first-rate, 24-hour technical support. I talked with these guys and they are good. They know what they're talking about.

So, if you're looking for a different way to do your email, Yahoo! Small Business Email may be the solution you've been looking for. Check it out for yourself, I recommend it.
