Help Fight Global Warming!

by Michael E. Callahan aka Dr. File Finder

"Global warming" is not a fiction, it's a fact. If anyone thinks it's not going to impact them I'd say they were mistaken. Ice at the poles is melting at an alarming rate. The diminished amount of sea ice is already endangering penguins, polar bears, and other animals. Melted ice results in higher sea levels and rising sea levels are threatening island nations and will eventually impact costal cities.

It seems that more and more of us are becoming aware of the problem and many of us are willing to do something about it. Since I assume you're reading this from your computer I already have a way that you can help with global warming. Every year over thirty billion kilowatt-hours of energy are wasted by computers that are left on. Hard drives spinning, monitors glowing, fans blowing, and wasting electricity. The production of electricity puts CO2 into the air.

For years I've always left my computers on 24/7, 365 days a year. Just one of the things that I can do is to change that. I hope you'll join me and I have a way that we can all do it.

LocalCooling is a 100% Free power management tool from Uniblue Research Labs that allows users to optimize their energy savings in minutes and as a result reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions. Install LocalCooling on your computer and you will:

  • Cut your energy bills
  • Gain complete control over your power settings
  • Reduce the amount of Greenhouse Gas emitted as a result of your PC
  • Visibly see how you have helped!

Global warming is a very real threat to you, your children and your grandchildren. I've installed LocalCooling on all of the computers in my office. Individuals, groups, and companies have all done the same and can see the impact they're having. For myself it's nice to know I'm doing something to help.

I'm urging all individuals and families to install LocalCooling on your computers. I'm also issuing a challenge to all other companies to install LocalCooling on all their machines. Let's see your totals on the LocalCooling Web site. The way I see it, everyone wins!
